| Simpson's
mission is to supply colours which our customers find easy to use,
are of consistent quality and provide the colour characteristics
desired. This means the ability to provide a Total Colour Solution
to meet an individual customers needs. So alongside offering straight
colour compounds, Simpsons are also in a position to offer bespoke
products.
Liquid Colours - Simpsons
manufacture a full range of dyes solubilised in aqueous and solvent
based systems, as well as both aqueous and solvent based pigment
dispersions. Using solutions eliminates all dust hazards as well
as greatly reducing the cross contamination and weighing difficulties
associated with powders.
Powder
Blends - By using specialist equipment Simpsons can dry
blend both Dyes and Pigments to provide bespoke colours and shades
to individual customers, thus eliminating the need for in situ weighing
of multiple colours.
Dye Purification - Dyestuffs
are regularly sourced and then purified to achieve extreme purities
for particular applications eg photographic grade dyes. These processes
can include a number of steps, solubilisation, filtration, drying
and grinding, and all are performed on site under stringent conditions
to make some of the cleanest products in Europe.
Powder Drying - In certain
applications, moisture content is a problem, and to combat this
Simpsons have ovens for drying both dyes and pigments to achieve
critical levels of moisture.
Bespoke
Packing - Dyes and Pigments create many handling and plant
contamination problems, Simpsons are well equipped to pack material
into designated pack sizes or units, from 1 gram to 1000 kilo bulk
tanks.
Research & Development -
In addition to day to day quality control our fully equipped Colourlab
undertakes various development projects for customers. With both
Dye and Pigment technology an integral part of our technical support,
our colour technicians work hand-in-hand with customers to create
new products, solve problems and improve applications.
In the European marketplace, there are increasingly
few companies who will physically handle and manipulate colour materials,
and Simpsons are well placed to assist Industry in all areas to
make colour use easier. |
